Refunds and cancellations
Updated 2026-10-14
How cancelling works, and when money comes back. The short version: cancel any time and keep what you've paid for until the end of your month. Payments aren't refunded, except for a billing mistake or where the law says so.
Plans are monthly. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and your plan runs to the end of the month you've paid for, with no refund for the rest of it.
Packs of Willo's finest voice are yours once you buy them, and aren't refunded.
Plans
- Cancel any time under Manage billing on Plans (Stripe's billing portal). Your plan stays until the end of the month you've paid for, then stops instead of renewing. Changed your mind before then? Keep on Plans undoes it, with nothing charged.
- No refunds for a month you've started, or for the rest of it, except for a billing mistake or where the law requires one (below).
- Beta offer (until November 3, 2026): the free Hero month needs no card and never charges. A Hero kept during the beta is free until your free month ends (or for 30 days, without one); cancel before then and nothing is charged, otherwise it's $4.99 a month from then on. A Champion or Legend first month at 50% off is a month like any other: cancel and it runs to its end.
- Switching plans is on Plans. A bigger plan starts right away: you pay the difference for the rest of your month that day, and we show you the amount before you confirm. A smaller plan starts when your month renews, with no refund for the rest of the month.
- If we do refund this month's payment for your plan in full, the plan ends then and your account is on the free plan. A refund of an earlier month, or of what an upgrade cost, leaves your plan as it is. A disputed payment ends the plan. Willo's style and your tales stay saved.
Willo's finest voice
- A pack is yours once you buy it, and isn't refunded, used or not, except for a billing mistake or where the law requires one (below).
- If a pack's payment is refunded or disputed, that pack's replies left go, and nothing else: your plan and your other packs stay.
When we do refund
- A billing mistake: charged twice, or charged the wrong amount or for the wrong thing. We put it right.
- What the law requires. In the EU and the UK you may have 14 days to change your mind about a digital service or digital content. When you start a plan or buy a pack, you ask for it to start right away, and you agree that once it has started your 14-day right of withdrawal ends, as far as the law allows. Stripe sells plans and packs as the merchant of record (through Link), and applies the law where you live.
- To ask, sign in and use the feedback form (choose "Something's broken" and say it's about a payment); we reply to the email on your account. We look at each request on its own. If a payment is disputed with your bank, we answer the dispute with what happened.
Deleting your account
Delete my account, on your account page, ends your plan straight away, and any finest-voice replies you have left go with it. There's no refund for the time or replies left, so if you only want to stop paying, cancel under Manage billing instead.
